Wonderfully Made…

At Faith we want every family who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, loved and supported. We have attendees at Faith with a wide variety of special needs. We also have a large group of families who are foster and adoptive families. Faith seeks to support these families, including the children/adults with special needs, their siblings and their caretakers.

Our Special Needs ministry serves families in the following ways during our Sunday morning programming:

  • Providing “buddies” during NextGen programming for kids who have special needs.

  • A sensory room that can be utilized on Sunday mornings in the east hallway of the NextGen wing.

  • An adult changing table with a lift available in a family bathroom located in the hallway between The Worship Center and NextGen wing.

  • Sermon notes adapted for children and adults with special needs who choose to sit in the main worship service. This fill in the blank bulletin can be found on the table outside The Worship Center doors and at the Welcome Center.

  • An Adult Special Needs Bible Study at 10:30am on Sundays.

Faith also hosts Rise and Respite events 2-3 times per year for families who attend Faith as well as families in our community. We plan a fun morning for our attendees with special needs and their siblings, while their caretakers get a much deserved break. These events are a blast for all involved! Our next Rise & Respite is coming up soon on November 2 from 9:00am-12:00pm. Families can register their family members HERE. We also need tons of volunteers to make this event happen. If interested in serving, sign up HERE. Further questions, email Tricia.

We would love to have you attend our Sunday morning programming! If your child or family member needs extra support, reach out to Tricia Holliday, Faith’s Preschool & Special Needs Director to coordinate. We’ll work with you to create a care plan that will meet your family’s needs so that you can have confidence they will be well cared for.
