Pray for Ukraine - eBlast Updates
4.12.22 Eblast
10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
2 Corinthians 1:10-11
In his second letter to the Christians in Corinth, the Apostle Paul reminds us that it is both the faithfulness of God and the enduring prayers of God’s people that bring comfort and strength to the hurting in their time of greatest need. With this promise in mind, we ask all at Faith to consider praying for the people, fellow Christians, and churches of Ukraine as they continue to struggle against the occupying forces from the Russian military.
The following prayer requests have been shared with us by a pastor from Ukraine. We will do our best to update these prayer requests from week to week, as new information becomes available.
Would you join with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in Christ by praying for…
The return of peace to Ukraine and a just end to the war brought by Russia.
Protection, shelter, and generosity for the refugees fleeing Ukraine.
Protection, peace, and safety for those continuing to live and serve in Ukraine.
God to be glorified, even in the midst of evil.
Philippians 4:7 to be a blessing and comfort for all in Ukraine who live in fear and for all in Russia who are also experiencing oppression due to the government’s military campaign. (“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.")
Protection of the innocent civilians, especially as Russia may be preparing for new offensive measures in eastern Ukraine.
We thank you for you for your prayers and encourage you to remember that even if you aren’t sure how to pray, we are promised that the Holy Spirit will come to our aid:
“26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”
Romans 8:26-27
Amen.
