Andrew Johnston

Lead Pastor

Meet Andrew,

I was born and raised in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and despite the move to Kansas, will always remain a cheese head.  I found my faith in Christ at a young age, thanks in part to my parents' dedication to their faith. My dad was a deacon, and my mom led the children's program, which created plenty of time for shenanigans and fond memories of our local church. These early experiences instilled in me a deep love I still have for Jesus and the church community.

In high school, my youth pastor had a profound impact on my life. He inspired me to pursue full-time ministry, and I felt a call to serve others in the same way he had served me. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where I met my wife Rachel on the swim team, we moved to Minnesota, where I began my ministry career as a youth pastor. Since then, I've had the privilege of serving in various roles at churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin and furthering seminary education.

Rachel and I have been blessed with four wonderful children: Liam, Coltrane, Emmy, and Winnie. We also have a dog named Scout and a rabbit named Oreo. As a family, we enjoy sports, camping in national parks, and beach vacations. While running marathons and fancy date nights have taken a backseat to chauffeuring kids to various activities, we wouldn't trade our unpaid Uber driver status for anything. After all, who needs hobbies when you have the joy of parenting?
