Friends encourage. They believe in us. They love us even knowing the worst about us. They will shoot straight with us and point out our sin and mixed up priorities. They hold us accountable. They are someone with whom you truly face life together.

A few weeks ago I decided to spend about a month reading and re-reading Psalm 119 in hopes that God would sort of refresh my desire to be in His Word. If you are not fa- miliar with Psalm 119, it’s the longest Psalm in the book of Psalms. It has 176 verses and in nearly every verse the psalmist speaks of God’s Word. It is a psalm of devotion to God and His Word.
