The Humility of Christ

Yesterday’s sermon explored the humility of Christ. The Scriptures teach that Jesus was humble before His incarnation, that Jesus demonstrated radical humility during His incarnation, and that Jesus continues to be humble in all His dealings with us. Jesus’ humility humility does at least two things: it serves as an example for us to follow, and it gives us assurance that we can safely come to Him and learn from Him.

Voices of Warning, Voices of Encouragement

Today’s passage is Hebrews 10:26-39. Part of spurring each other on is speaking into each other’s lives. Our passage this week suggests that we need to speak at times with a voice of warning and at other times with a voice of encouragement.

Practical Implications of Our Position in Christ

Today’s sermon was from Hebrews 10:19-25. In this passage the author of Hebrews makes a transition from teaching to application. He gives three implications of the things that he has taught about Jesus as our high priest and Jesus’ perfect sacrifice for sin. These threee commands are just as relavant for us as they were for the Hebrews.
